‘Without focusing and getting to clarity you cannot lead. You cannot motivate. You cannot plan. You cannot communicate’.
- Bob Biehl, Executive Mentor
Have you ever noticed that when you’re not sure about what you’re meant to be doing or where you’re meant to be going, life can often seem chaotic and frustrating?
That’s why clarity matters. Being able to see what lies ahead mentally takes the stress out of life and empowers you to create the pathways you need to succeed.
‘Clarity accounts for probably 80% of success and happiness

Imagine for a moment what your life would be like if you had complete clarity. You would make better decisions, be healthier and have a more fulfilling work life.
If you’re struggling to get clarity, here are five strategies for you:
1. Get yourself a journal.
Ideally, with blank pages (no lines) and write out the things on your mind, get them OUT of your head and on paper.
2. Write out a list of 10 things that you’ve been putting off.
Things like ‘pay a phone bill’, ‘wash dishes’, ‘open letters’, ‘call mum’, ‘clean living room table’ etc. (simple things).
3. Go for walks in nature.
Soak in your surroundings with your five senses and your emotions. No, seriously, try it, especially with all the negativity on the glowing box at the moment.
4. Create the right environment for clarity.
Clutter in your home or office is a distraction and impair your thinking. Take time each week to clear any mess so you can think and work effectively
5. Fuel your brain with the right food.
Yes! Your diet plays a massive part in helping your brain function at its best. Cut out junk food for a week and up your fruit and vegetable intake. Also, remember to drink plenty of water and less caffeine.
Of course, there are other strategies, but one or all of these will improve your level of clarity.
